Giving Season
Liberty Arts believes that art education, creative collaboration, and community partnerships all contribute to the quality of life in Durham and throughout the region.
As we enter giving season, your continued support allows us to provide year-round art education, plan exciting events like the Annual Iron Pour and Third Fridays at the Foundry, and to participate in community happenings like Durham Art Walk and Gallery Crawl.

Introduction to Sculptural Welding: Flowers
Brenda Cass will teach students the basics of welding sculptures by making a magnolia flower on a branch out of mild steel. Class Dates: December 4th, 11th and January 8th and 22nd from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
Intro to Keum Boo
This class will introduce you to the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo. Keum Boo involves the fusing of 24 carat yellow gold onto fine or sterling silver. Students will go step by step through the process of preparing texturing silver, application of the gold, and finishing the piece in this quick paced course.
Beginner Glass Blowing
This class is designed for students who are interested in glassblowing and want to take the first steps to making functional and art glass. It offers a longer class format than "Introduction to Glassblowing" and consists of 14 hours over four sessions.
This class takes place on two different days and in two consecutive weeks (4 classes) for a total of 14 hours in the studio. This class posting is for the weekday sessions Dec 9th and Dec 11th and Dec 16th and Dec 18th - the class times are from 5:30pm to 9pm each day.
Pottery Open Studio
Pottery Open Studio is for current pottery Students and Access pass holders.
Open studio is the perfect opportunity to practice what you’ve learned in class as well as explore new pottery ideas.
