Fall In Love with Learning - Heart Themed Classes for February
Make Your Own Conversation Hearts
In this hands-on glass art workshop, you’ll create your own custom conversation heart—choosing your heart color and learning how to paint a personal message using glass enamels.
Make Your Own Glass Heart-Themed Pendant, Paperweight, or Marble (Flameworking)
Working side-by-side with an experienced glass artist, you'll get an up-close introduction to the mesmerizing art of hot glass. The class begins with a live demonstration showing the full process, followed by your turn to craft your piece step by step. Design ideas are welcome!
Make Your Own Glass Hearts
Working with an experienced glass blower, the student will learn "hands-on" how to apply different colors to molten glass, how to shape the semi-molten form and finally to inflate the glass into your heart shape.

The fall 2025 Iron Heroes Cohort concludes
Thank you to everyone who attended the Iron Heroes Program Reception at the Durham Food Hall in January, and congratulations again to the Fall 2025 Iron Heroes cohort!
This group of students—led by instructor and program creator Tripp Jarvis—designed, sculpted and cast an iron mask representative of their personal Hero’s Journey. During the reception, Tripp also presented an artist talk to share his inspiration for the program’s creation.
The next Iron Heroes Cohort will begin in March, and we are actively seeking participants!
