On February 9, 2017, Liberty Arts announced the opening of its 1,000 square foot furnace-based glass blowing studio and coldworking shop. In keeping with the mission of Liberty Arts, it operates as a non-profit studio with public access.
The Liberty Arts Glass Studio will offer introductory to advanced classes, along with public demonstrations and events. Private instruction is available at all levels. Beginners will learn glassblowing by creating objects such as cups, tumblers and paperweights. More advanced students will create functional, ornamental pieces of glass art.
Advanced students and experienced glass artists will be able to rent the studio and equipment by the hour. Multi-media collaboration with Liberty Arts metal, wood, ceramic, and metal casting will also be available.
