3RD Friday Events…
Liberty Arts + Duram Art Guild Presents…
A Winter Solstice Pop-up
Friday, December 20 | 6:00pm - 9:00pm
Make your own light pouring aluminum at the Liberty Arts Foundry in Durham Central Park.
Grab a glowing lantern and follow The Glow Goddess, performed by Stormie Daie, along the luminaria trail for about two blocks west to the Measurement Inc and historic BC Remedy Building, 423 Morris St.
Exciting raffle, for just $3 per ticket, you have an opportunity to win one of several extraordinary prizes, including a glass-blowing class, a private three-hour jewelry-making workshop, an iconic Major the Bull iron tile, and much more. Don't miss your chance to support the arts and win unique experiences!
Explore a pop-up exhibition curated by Durham Art Guild featuring the artwork of Bonnie Melton alongside DAG and Liberty Arts artist Kirk Denny.
Sip on seasonal beverages by Atomic Clock Brewing and The Glass Jug (cash bar). Sample Liberty Arts cookies made by Sweets by Shayda and festive popcorn by The Mad Popper (while supplies last). Take in live indie-pop music by Emma Jane, a Durham-born singer-songwriter.

2ND SATURDAY EVENTS…
Second Saturdays return in the winter! Look for Liberty Arts artists and staff every 2nd Saturday of the month during the Durham Farmers Market where you can purchase art made by Liberty Arts artists and iconic Liberty Arts merchandise. We are also there to spread information about our upcoming classes and opportunities to get involved. Make sure you keep an eye on the events calendar for updates.

Learn at Liberty arts
This winter you can sign up for a variety of fun classes...
Pottery: Get in on the next wave of Wheel Throwing classes that begin in January! In this six-week course, classes will meet weekly on either Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Sign up today!
Glassblowing: Make-Your-Owns and Intro classes have been added to our class site through May 2025! Sign up now to Make Hearts, Eggs, or Flowers, or join us for a more in-depth beginner’s course!
Metal Working: Welding classes are available through January 2025! Sign up for our latest intro course today.
Jewelry: There are now 3 in-house small metals artists that teach jewelry classes year-round! Sign up to learn with Jim, Nanette, or Heather for a variety of jewelry-making experiences. From rings to pendants to earrings, the possibilities are endless.
