Durham, NC – This year, Durham Mayor Leonardo Williams will kick off an exciting evening of live artmaking, art demos, fire spinning and batala drumming, Poetry Fox, art market vendors and more. Local food trucks and craft beer vendors will provide refreshments throughout the park.
Local artisans contribute a great deal to the overall Iron Pour experience! The 8th Annual Iron Pour includes amazing artists from Liberty Arts and artisans from the surrounding area. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!

Durham NC - Liberty Arts presents the eighth annual free Iron Pour, a public artmaking event, on Saturday, November 16, in Durham Central Park. A portion of proceeds will go to support Western North Carolina arts organizations through the North Carolina Arts Foundation.
On Saturday, November 17th we will be melting 3000 lbs of iron at 3000 degrees right in the middle of Durham Central Park. Sound crazy? It's just what we do for fun.
If you've never seen an Iron Pour, think about a gritty ballet where all the dancers are decked out in helmets and head-to-toe in leathers, dancing around a roaring furnace and pouring red hot metal into molds.
Saturday October 13 we hold our first annual Liberty Arts Award Dinner. The award recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the artistic, cultural and economic vitality of Durham.
This year we were honored to present The Liberty to Phil Freelon who embodies the spirit of this award in every way and very personally for Liberty Arts in particular.
